1 John 3:19-20 ESV

By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;

For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

1 John: The Fruit of Fellowship with Christ
John was one disciple who was dramatically changed by our Lord. He was a hot-headed young man, given to sharp and impulsive utterances with a tendency toward blowing off steam. But John became the apostle of love, noted for his gentleness, graciousness and goodness.
The Telltale Heart
5 Feb 2014 ... ... is greater than our heart, and knows all things (1 John 3:19-20). Our confidence toward God grows out of His love and forgiveness in Christ, not ... God, who knows everything about us, is greater than our self-condemnation.
